Do others miscategorize you because of the way your body looks?

Do you feel straight-jacketed by main stream categories of sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, class, age, ability, etc?

Do you feel isolated, like you just don't fit in?

COME TO FLUID!!!

Fluid will be meeting for a casual lunch on Sunday, October 24, at 1:00 PM. The restaurant is "Cafe 16" (3170 16th St, between Valencia & Guerrero. Take BART to the 16th St station and then walk West on 16th St for a few blocks).

Please join us if you do not fit neatly into categories such as lesbian, gay, straight, woman, man, female, and male; black, African American, hispanic, Latino, Asian, Asian American, Native American, white, and Caucasion; underclass, working class, middle class, upper middle class, and upper class; child, teenager, young adult, adult, middle-aged, and senior citizen; able-bodied and disabled; and any other social categories!

Screwup: BDSM for trannies, genderqueers and their friends, presents...
    Cuttings!

    Friday, November 12, 2004
    7:30 - 9:30PM
SF LGBT Center, 1800 Market Street, San Francisco

Join us for a lively discussion and demo on cuttings with Patrick Califia. What is a cutting? Why do people get cuttings? Why do people do cuttings? Bring your ideas and questions, share your own experiences and thoughts. And, of course, watch the blood flow during the cutting demo!

About the Presenter: Transman Patrick Califia is a sex educator, author, and leather community activist who has taught classes about various aspects of BDSM all over the country. Ever since he heard about SCREWUP, he's wanted to come to a meeting, so this is a pretty exciting opportunity for him. Everybody should be there!!!

Screwup is for trannies, queers, and our friends. This event is open to all genders. The event is free, but donations are happily accepted to cover the costs of the meeting space. Folks sometimes go out for coffee or food afterwards, so come prepared... For more info, see www.screwup.info or email screwup@screwup.info

      Sing-Along Purple Rain
      Saturday, November 6th
      Bridge Theatre, SF, Midnight Mass
      $10
      www.peacheschrist.com

After this terrible election week, I'm hoping some of you will want to come out this Saturday and blow off some steam. I can’t think of a better way than by belting out some of the best & raunchiest Rock N’ Roll ever put to celluloid. That’s right- Sing-Along Purple Rain returns to Midnight Mass for ONE NIGHT ONLY!

This Midnight Mass phenomenon was so popular last summer that we sold-out two back to back shows of it. Warner Brothers is not currently distributing the print, but has been kind enough to allow me to book it for ONE LAST NIGHT! We’re bringing back the full production, mis-haps and all. Will Martiny knock over the brick wall again while doing her interpretive “dove dance”? Will Putanesca accidentally toss one of her drum-sticks into the audience? Will my wig magically launch itself off of my head again?!? Find out this Saturday!

And of course we bring back PROJECTED LYRICS for MAXIMUM ROCKING! If you haven’t experienced Sing-Along Purple Rain, I implore you to join us for a magical evening of crazy fun. Dress up in your trashiest 80’s slut-gear and get ready to rock.

Tickets for Sing-Along Purple Rain are now on sale.
Event information and online tickets: www.peacheschrist.com
Tickets may also be purchased at the Bridge Theatre Box Office, moviefone.com, or 777-FILM.
