How are they part of your life experience?
The Women's Center is collecting anonymous stories from UCD students to include in a reader's theatre performance in April.
At this point in time, we are especially looking for stories about queer (including trans) experiences with violence as they connect with street harassment, relationship abuse, sexual violence, etc.
Please share your experiences, and in doing so, give the gift of awareness and validation to other women and queer people.
Stories from men that deal specifically with queer/trans violence or in support of survivors are welcome!
Please submit stories by Wednesday March 15th.
Please contact Cadelba Lomelí-Loibl at the WRRC at 752-3372 for more information.

Davis Community Gay Men’s Group
Davis has a gay men's group whose members get together to see movies, go to plays, have drinks, have pot luck dinners, etc. The name of the group is the Davis Gay Men's Friendship Network (dgmfn). It is not a University group per se but more than half the members have a connection with the campus (as employees, faculty, grad students and a few undergrads). Depending on the activity, anywhere from 2 to 15 people can show up for an event. Within the last month there was a pot luck (15 people attended) and several invitations to see movies in town and in Sacto (from 2-4 attended each). Currently there are only about 25 members in the group, but we are hoping to double that number by next Fall.
The group functions through a list serve. If you would like to do something and have other people do it with you, you send a message to the list. If an email you receive sounds like something you would like to do you simply reply to the sender. If you have questions or want some more information you can send an email to <jhiggins@dcn.davis.ca.us>. If you would like to sign up, go to: groups.yahoo.com/group/DGMFN-Davis Within a week you should receive a message welcoming you to the group. If you don't receive it contact Jim Higgins at the email address above.
We hope to see you at one of our events soon!

What is it? Activism! Feminists, Queers and misfits making noise! There are anti-bush chants, feminist
chants, queer chants, body image chants, sex worker chants, and more.

I am a queer female UCD junior, late 20's, looking to live in a gay-friendly household close to campus.
I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. I'm looking for a place that is quiet and most importantly feels welcoming. I would prefer something long term and under $500/month. Please feel free to contact me at ammcmanus@ucdavis.edu .
Let me know if you need any more information. Thank You.
